Gary Cantrell has come up with a new idea for a “last man standing” ultra challenge – run four miles every hour starting on the hour. The race will take place in October on a 4 mile loop on Gary’s property in Tennessee. There will be a cash prize for the winner. The event is named after Gary’s dog, Big.
Gary is renowned for the quality of his ultra challenges as he is the RD of the Barkley Marathon a 100 mile race over difficult terrain in Frozen Head state Park and the 500 km Last Annual Vol-State Run from Dorena Landing, Missouri to Castle Rock, Georgia.
