The First Annual Farm Trail Run is being planned for the summer of 2011. A series of trail races for almost all runners in pleasant surroundings on a Gatineau farm.
Date: June/July – TBD
Location: 45 mins north of Ottawa in the town of Duclos
Solo Options: 5k, 10k, 21k, 42k
Solo/Relay Options: 6hr, 12hr, 24hr
Start time: All races start at 8am
Fee: TBD
The Course: each loop is approximately 5km and 100% trail. It has a few ups and downs but nothing significant, overall each loop has an elevation gain/loss of 55metres.
There will be one river crossing segment where you will have the choice to wade/swim or rope-swing across. The course is suitable for beginners and can be walked but it is also tough enough for seasoned trail runners if you want to push yourself.
