Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race 2017 – Daily Updates – Day 27

Daily Diary
Friday 14th July – Day 27

It’s wet and all day we will have showers, some light, some heavy. So, a difficult day for all, runners, lap recorders and helpers.
Main casualty is Smarana, who has completely lost all energy, and has stomach problems. He stops around 3pm and heads for his apartment, saying he hopes to return at 6pm, but he doesn’t return today.
Another with stomach problems is Nirbhasa, who is trying everything to no avail, and finding it difficult to eat, and as a result getting weaker.
But really grinds out a good 92 laps compared to Smarana’s 54 laps.
In the women’s race Kaneenika does her usual strong controlled performance with the best laps of the day at 112. Harita does another 109 (6in a row), and pips Yolanda by just one lap.
Both Nidhruvi and Andrey seem to have adapted to the weather and have better days with 97 and 101 respectively.
