Transylvania 6 Day Heats Up in Reghin as Leaders Pass 300km Mark

The third edition of the Transylvania 6 Day International Ultramarathon Festival is currently underway in Reghin, Romania, bringing together a diverse field of ultrarunners from 18 countries. Set in the tranquil Avantul Sports Base and Youth Park, the 2025 edition kicked off on June 29 and will run through July 5, offering a series of multi-day formats including 6-day, 72-hour, 48-hour, 24-hour, and 12-hour races.

Athletes compete on an 842.4-meter loop course, The 6-day race started Sunday and now, mid-race, the leaderboard is beginning to take shape.

This Reghin-based festival has grown into a highlight on the multi-day racing calendar in Eastern Europe. The DUV listings confirm that future editions are already planned in the same city, with events scheduled for July 2026 and July 2027, further establishing Reghin as a long-term host city for multiday racing.

The festival provides not just a race, but a community gathering, with a growing international following.
