Örebro 2010-01-04

Soon, half way towards a new record!

First day is soon gone for Valdemar Andersson, who ran against the Swedish and Nordic record of running on treadmills in the music studio Swedish Radio Örebro. At 09.55, he joined his club comrade Hans Byrén.

Ultra Runners Hans Byrén and Swedish Radio Örebro’s own Valdemar Andersson are chasing records at 24 and 48 hours.
Valdemar Andersson started Sunday morning at 09.55 and has quickly added his first kms behind him. After 22 hours, he covered 15,3 mil. To beat the record he must run close to 30 mil in 48 hours.

“He’s evil, he is tortured, but he fights and is well located in the phase. He looks like he should look” says his club-mate Byrén.

Hans Byrén climbs quickly up on the treadmill next to start their race at 09.55 today. His goal is to run 20 mil to beat both the Swedish and Nordic record.

Journalists and curious are welcome to cheer on the runners Monday 4 January between 13-15 and at the finish Tuesday, January 5th between 9-10.
