The 8th North Face^® Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc^® takes place 24th to 29th August 2010.

The 2010 The North Face® Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc®: Or how to live a wonderful adventure through 4 events!

©  UTMB^® [Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc^®] : 3 countries  – around 166 km and 9,400 m of positive height gain in semi-autonomy – 46 hours maximum – 2,300 runners maximum

©  CCC^® [Courmayeur-Champex-Chamonix] : 3 countries – around 98 km and 5,600 m of positive height gain in semi-autonomy –

25 hrs max– 1,800 runners max

©  TDS [sur les Traces des Ducs de Savoie] : around environ 106 km and 6,600m positive height gain in semi-autonomy – 30hrs max – 1,200 runners max

©  PTL [la Petite Trotte à Léon]  : 3 countries – around 245 km and 19,000 m positive height gain in total autonomy

A non-stop event without final positions open to 70 inseparable teams of 3 people

6,500 registrations in all for the 4 events.

The number is restricted in respect for the environment and optimum security on one hand, but also in respect for the competitors. The trail is run along existing paths and in the heart of the countryside. Where those paths are narrow (single track), too greater number of runners cause a “traffic jam”.
