Her endurance feats include swimming across the English Channel (19 hours), cycling solo in the 3,014-mile Race Across America, running the 135-mile Badwater Race from Death Valley to the summit of Mount Whitney, and becoming the first woman to complete the Quintuple Ironman in Mexico (108 hours). Join Michele for an inspirational presentation on the physical and mental components of going beyond the comfort zone to compete in an ultra-distance race. Come learn about gear, training, nutrition, and recovery. Find out what motivates this accomplished athlete to endure extremes, such as cold, heat, or lack of sleep, to achieve her personal best.
