Chris Carver, who ran 141 miles in the 2008 Self-Transcendence 24 hour in Tooting Bec is planning to run to London from Otley in Yorkshire – a 210 mile journey that will raise money and awareness for Orchid. Orchid raises funding for research into male-specific cancers. Chris developed testicular cancer and then lung cancer before undergoing chemotherapy and surgery. Recovering to reach national standard and qualification for the British team, Chris is up for selection to run at the Commomwealth 24 hour Championships in Keswick in September.
