The 15th Annual No Finish Line 8 day race finished yesterday in Monaco with Stephane Leroux reaching the coveted 1000 km mark. Second and third places went to Self-Transcendence 3100 mile race winners Sarvagata Ukrainskyi and Australian Sarah Barnett, Sarah setting a new womens course record with 924 km.
On the final night there is a 24 hour race which was won by Christian Fatton with 227 km and the womens winner was Maria Icaria Fossati with 141 km.
The event is a fund-raiser for a children’s charity supported by the Monaco Royal Family and this year over 12,500 people took part covering 342 322,75 km and raising €393,672. The course is a 1370m loop around the Hercules harbour in Monte Carlo. The route gets very busy at certain times of the day – around 8:00 am and also after work in the evening it gets packed.
