Vinnitsa in the Ukraine was the scene of a recent Self-Transcendence race which included a 48 event, a rare breed of race on the current calendar. The course was a 1080 meter loop in the Peoples Friendship Park and took place earlier this year, in July.
Oleksandr Ponomarev was first man in the 48 hour with 248 km. First lady was Lyudmyla Skydan with 178 km. in the 24 hour Yulia Staroselska was first lady with 133 km and first 24 hour man was Myhaylo Bogdanov with 153 km.
