It is once again time to announce the date for the Third Annual Great Levee Ultra Run. The race will consist of the following options: 50k, 50 miles,
100 miles or 130 miles. It is an invitation only race, as it has been in the past. The race director will provide technical shirts and finishers awards, but each participant will be requried to provide their own support and must show that they complete the distances. The course is on top of the
levee between Baton Rouge and New Orleans and consists primarily of gravel and dirt. There is some asphalt at the beginning of the run and for the
last 23 miles if you are participating in the 130-mile distance. Your support crew can be near you at all times, but you will be disqualified if they park on the levee since the law enforcement officials got a little angry about that last year. There is no entry fee and the course will be open for 36 hours.

The field will be limited to 30 runners. If you are interested in the race, please let me know.

The last two years have seen good weather.

I know that there are other ultras on this same weekend, but we have held the race on this weekend for two previous years and it just seems to work
best.
