One week gone
So it was a week ago that the runners started their journey and apart from that first day the weather has been pretty kind to them. Asprihanal has begun to establish a clear lead over the field, though he knows that one bad day can change all that. The runners that had problems at the beginning are now working their way through the miles. While others are just getting used to the fact that they are in the race and still have a long way to go. Sunday afternoons at the race location can mean that the runners have to negotiate a lot of pedestrian traffic, which of course can create a lot of mental tiredness.
Sun quite strong, but weather generally good for running, low humidity.
