Scott Jurek Wins Spartathlon 2006

Thanks to the live updates, we were treated to an exciting battle waged in Greece in the Ultra theatre. After pulling away early on, Jurek was caught and over taken by the reigning World 24 hour champion only for the Japanese giant to let it slip from his grasp. After hours of being together, Jurek began to pull away until by CP68 he was an hour infront of Ryochi finally putting 1:08 between them. Sumie Inagaki held on to prevail as first lady home.
