I don’t want anyone to compare this race to Across the Years but it is a 24 hour and it’s in the same month. It will also have chip timing. It is not going to truly compare but it will still be fun. Registration is not open yet. I will post when it is.
December 5, 2009, Run Like The Wind 3, 6, 12 and 24 Hour, Lee Mannix Canine Center, Austin, Texas. This course is a mulchy, soft, flat .5 mile trail totally canopied by trees. It is directed by the world-famous cook Sam Voltaggio with assistance from Joe Prusaitis. The run will benefit the The Schrodi Memorial Training Fund, which provides scholarships to dog owners who need training for their dogs but can’t afford it. There will be three 3-mile runs for people with or without their dog. Ultra runners may start at 6 a.m. with advance notice to the race director if they do not mind sharing the track with slow runners and their dogs. Otherwise the 3/6/12/24 hr race starts at 11 a.m. Fully stocked aid station.
Registration will be via active.com or via race application which can be found out
www.schrodifund.org/RunLiketheWind later in the year.
