The inaugural North Coast 24 Hour Endurance Run attracted a high standard of ultrarunners with over a hundred starters and 41 runners going over a hundred miles. New York’s Phil McCarthy rode to the front and to victory after the lead changed hands several times throughout the race and John Geesler also from New York ran 138 miles for second place.
Ladies winner Jill Perry made it 3 from NY with 136 miles, good enough for 5th place overall. Nine women made it over a hundred miles.
