Dipali Cunningham Sets New World Record

Just a quick post: Australian ultrarunner Dipali Cunningham set a new road world record in the Self-Transcendence 6 day race that finished today by covering 513 miles. A close race with a determined Pam Reed, who in her first 6 day race, finished close behind Dipali with 490 miles. Third place was Lenka Svecova with 372 miles.

In the mens 6 day race Darren Worts maintained his great form to win with 420 miles in his first visit to the Flushing Meadow event. Second place was Vilodymyr Hlushchuk with 391 miles and third was Vlastimil Dvoracek who finished with 375 miles.

The 10 day was won by Madhupran Wolfgang Schwerk with a total of 777 miles. The nladies race was won by Kaneenika Janacova setting a new Slovakian record and a pb by 37 miles finishing with a total of 707 miles.
