Relay Iowa 2010

The first annual Relay Iowa:

338 miles * 3 days/2 nights * May 14th-16th, 2010

Teams of 12 or elite teams of 6 will run from Sioux City to Dubuque on a 338 mile unique adventure relay through Iowa. Each member of a 12 person team will run approximately a marathon over 3 days, both day and night. A 6 member elite team would run about 56 miles each in 2 days per person.

This project is part of a fundraising initiative to raise money to build an orphanage in Welkom, South Africa through Restoring Hope International. Restoring Hope International is an organization started by an Iowa couple, Brian and Lois Niehoff. They live in South Africa helping orphans, many with HIV, live productive lives under adverse conditions.
