Saturday morning the 2009 Trans Swiss run began with 23 runners signed up. This 420 km eight day stage run first took place last year and begins at Kreuzlingen on Lake Constance and ends in St. Gingolph Lake Geneva.
Stage 1: Kreuzlingen – Hulftegg 49,4 Km /1391 m ascent / descent 850 m
Stage 2: Hulftegg – Brunni 58.4 Km /ascent 1411 m / 1559 m /
Stage 3: Brunni – Flüeli / Ranft 56,7 Km / 2071 m ascent / descent 2441 m
Stage 4: Flüeli / Ranft – Interlaken 51,6 Km / 1850 m ascent / descent 2008 m
Stage 5: Interlaken – Gurnigel Bad 50.8 km / 1796 m ascent / descent 1191 m
Stage 6: Gurnigel Bath – Le Moleson 56.3 Km / ascent 2703 ft / 2735 m
Stage 7: Le Moleson – Laussanne 52.8 km / 1739 m ascent / descent 2467 m
Stage 8: Lausanne – St. Gingolph 48.4 km / 653 m ascent / descent 658 m
