The 32nd Marathon des Sables, the worlds most famous stage race, finished on Friday 14th April with a marathon. Overall winners were Rachid El Rachid for the fifth time and for the last four years in a row. Sweden’s Elisabet Barnes took her second win in three years.
Almost 1200 starters in this years event. Such is its poularity that the organisers are hosting a three stage, 120 km event in September and a new 6 stage 250km event in Peru 24 November to 4 December 2017. Details on the race website via the results link below.
