This weekend sees the first of two 24 hour races in the next 3 weeks in the US kicking off with the San Francisco One day race this weekend. The 24 hour also has a 12 hour option and as of the 16th of October their were 20 spots left available according to the the site.
In 3 weeks the Ultracentric has boosted its profile by incorporating the American 24 hour championships with 12k in prize money. Most of the country’s top runners will be in attendance so it promises to be the US 24 hour event of the year. It is also one of the few opportunities to compete in a 48 hour race for the time being, with ATY sold out and Houston Ultra weekend cancelled for 2007. The Ultracentric offers 6 & 12 hour options as well to complete a Texas ultrarunning festival.
