Messages from home
Every evening Sahishnu, the last shift race director brings with him print outs of e mails, faxes and other messages that have been sent to the runners. It is the 3100 mile mail call if you will. The messages come from friends, loved ones, or just observers of the race who leave words of encouragement on the race site. This also happens around the time that dinner arrives, so you see the runners trying to read messages and eat at the same time. Sometimes people send jokes, which has become a kind of tradition, these are handed around from runner to runner for all to enjoy.
The weather was a little more humid today but everyone seemed to cope.
Don’t forget to go to the race site to see the mileage and some wonderful photo’s.
