Up at 4am as it took me ages to dress with only one working arm. (Even with the use of my natural left hand)
At race site 5am and stay till 7:30 working on food / drinks tables.
Leave at 8:30 for hospital appointment at 9:30am
Consultant very happy that it is a clean break, and nothing else damaged. A very rare injury. No surgery required, do not use right arm for another 7 days. Continue to ice then start gentle exercising. May be some time before completely recovered .
Got all my medical details at the? same visit. (free)
Back to race at 12:30 and lap record straight through till 9pm
More word that AXA ( the under writers for my policy, head office in Canada and that they will now deal ?with my case). First it was. Spain. Now a Canadian lady will deal with it.
So more Q’s tomorrow .
But seems it is a battle between AXA and the University as to the cost and payment.
Sergey Kuzmin, 44, Nzhnly Novgorod, Russia
Making his debut in the 3100, let many other started off very uncertain. A big and strong man, came into the race looking “heavy”, but is now making remarkable progress up the leader board .
Early night.

I am not at all surprised that “big Sergei” is running stronger each day.I have shared the road/ track with him in several long races. He is talented and very tough mentally.
Though he and I know very few words of each other’s native languages, we managed to exchange encouragement and smiles and “good morning/ good night”/ “maladiet s.”
