Day 8 of the Self-Transcendence 10 & 6 Day Races saw Shamita cut Sarah’s lead to 17 miles yet still leads the race overall while New Zealander Harita Davies took advantage of Pati Ibinova having a bad day in the women’s Self-Transcendence 10 day race.

In the mens 10 day Aidas Ardzijauskas has had the top mileage for three days in a row with yesterday covering a very impressive 78 miles to place himself 2 miles behind Baladev Saraz. Austrian Ushika Muckenhumer remains steady in third place.

In the 6 day race Dipali Cunningham ran 67 miles to put herself 61 miles ahead of second placed Nataliya Hlushchuk who along with Vera Kalishmanova is coming under pressure from Divyata Kryuchkova who ran 70 miles to pull away from Gautami Sykorova in fifth place.

In the mens 6 day Rimas had a great day with 75 miles to cut into John Geeslers lead while Mark McCaslin has 10 miles on Michael Korol.
