Last weekend saw the Caboolture 24-48 Hour Race 2012 at the Caboolture Historical Village in South Queensland Australia.
The event caters for a wide range of interest with 1.5,3,6,12,24 and 48 hour races and takes place on a 500 metre decomposed granite track.
54 runners took part and the first place winners at the 48 hour were Trevor Allen with 288.492 km and Tamyka Bell was first lady, third overall with 272.822 km.
In the 24 hour Kerrie Williamson 187.233 was the outright winner with 187.233 and first man was Peter Bennett 185.293 km.
The 12 hour race was won by another woman, Laurie Laine with 126.217 km.
Couple of corrections, Laurie Lane is a male competitor. Peter Bennett was a walker so the first male in the 24 hour running race was Brad Kruger with 180.502 km.
Full results are available on the race website, Geoffs Runs.
thanks for the article – couple of corrections, Laurie Lane is a male competitor. Peter Bennett was a walker so the first male in the 24 hour running race was Brad Kruger. Cheers
