Vasarhelyi sets new Bruce Trail record of 13 days, 10 hours 51 min.
Charlotte Vasarhelyi is one of Canada’s most accomplished, active endurance athletes. Earlier in the year, Charlotte participated as a member of Team Canada at the 24 Hour World Championships in Brive, France covering 192.985 km. On Saturday, June 19th, 2010 Charlotte began a solo attempt at a new Bruce Trail solo speed record. The Bruce Trail is Canada’s longest hiking trail with a total distance of 894.1 km which Charlotte covered in 13 days, 10 hours 51 minutes – taking almost a day off the old record according to Monumental Effort blog.
