I arrived at the race site to witness the aftermath of 12 to 14 hours of thunderstorms and rain. The race crew was doing an excellent job of pumping the water from the track. Amazingly all the runners were still smiling and cheerful. Australian Gary Wise as moved up to join Glenn Turner at the top of the leader board. Glenn emerges from a break wearing a pair of 5 fingered shoes which attract some attention. He says they are only good for a few laps in the race, but he has used them in training. Let us see what tomorrow brings.
