The World Harmony Run is a global torch-relay that takes place in over 100 countries. Founded in 1987 by Sri Chinmoy, a visionary and guide to thousands, the run has evolved over the last 20 years to become a powerful symbol of oneness that connects people, communities, faiths and traditions and countries to remind us that we are indeed a one world family.
I have been involved with the event that began as the Peace Run and, later, became the World Harmony Run, since 1991 and have run in several countries carrying the torch as a gesture of international friendship. Having run through Wales and England earlier this year, I have recently been invited to participate in the Canadian leg of the WHR.
Joining the team in Montreal, I have had the opportunity to run through Ottawa and Toronto to our current location in Owen Sound, Ontario where i will be contributing to the daily journal.
