Sarah Barnett led Shamita Achenbach-Konig by a mile at the end of the fourth day in Flushing Meadow in New York in the Self-Transcendence 10 Day Race having pulled away from third placed Pati Ibinova who still has a slight lead over Harita Davies three miles back.
In the men’s race Baladev Saraz has cut the deficit on race leader Atmavir Spacil to 6 miles though its impossible to tell what that means without hourly splits. Third placed Ushika Muckenhumer is a mere hour in front of Oleksandr Kharko and it will be interesting to see what happens tonight as the temperatures are forecast to drop as low as 3 C.
No news yet of progress in the 6 day. In the meantime Utpal Marshall has been very busy making short videos of some of the participants in the event including the race’s kitchen staff, Dipali Cunningham and Don Winkley & Ed Rousseau to name a few of the many videos available on Vimeo via the link in the resource box below.
