
Second race in August will be the classic stage race “Transe Gaule” (12-30 Aug.) also crossing the country from The Channel to Mediterranean Sea since 2001. Transe Gaule is now a 1190 K / 19 days run and both races use about 600 kilometers of the same route across central France.
Up to now, number of entrants is 37 runners for 4th 1.000 Kilomètres de France and 51 for Transe Gaule XI. Texan Don Winkley and Frenchman Daniel Muller will be back at Transe Gaule, both of them having completed the 19-days run 9 times. Two female runners and one male runner entered for both races in June and August.
Both races are organised by PHARE-WEST ORGANISATION based in Brittany, western part of France.
