The Foxton 24 Hour 2015 has drawn to a close and Nicholas Turner in his first 24 hour “went out too hard”` in his own words and won the race.
Sharon Gayter perservered to win the womens race as well as collecting her new age group record for womens British track 50-55 for 50k with 5.25.29 and the 100km with 12.51.31. A fine performance.
The weather brightened up for the last few hours of the race and race director Stan Jewell and his wife Barabar were satisfied that the Foxton 24 hour has had an auspicious start and I’m sure he will have some words to say after he’s has some sleep.
