The Desert Solstice 24 Hour 2015 wrapped up earlier today in Phoenix Arizona with Pete Kostelnick putting in the best US 24 hour performance of the year and second in the world for 2015, finishing with 263,419 km.
Katalin Nagy reset her 200K American Track record to 19:19:05 as well as setting a new World Women’s 35-39 Track 12 Hour with 83.92 miles.
Zach Bitter broke his own 100-mile American record at by several minutes finishing with 11:40:55.
Desert Solstice 24 Hour is an elite invitational/qualificational annual event hosted by Aravaipa Running since 2010. The race exists to provide an opportunity to qualify for National squads and to encourage records and top performances by American athletes and others from around the world. Prize money is awarded to athletes achieving certain standards.
