Sadly today’s news is that Sharon has had to pull out of the world record attempt with a stress injury to her shin. This was reported on BBC’s Look North programme tonight.

Sharon Gayter’s bid to set a new British 6 day record at the Croft race track came to a halt on the third day. We hope she recovers in time for the 24 hour World championships in Bergamo later in May.
