Blind explorer reaches South Pole

On January 4th six three-man teams set off in the South Pole Race.

One of the athlete’s, from Northern Ireland, 32 year old Mark Pollock has become the first blind person to reach the South Pole.
The Telegraph quotes him as saying it was “absolutely unreal” to have reached the destination.
