The 6th Arizona 6 Day Race will comence on Sunday April 11th 2010 in Douglas. Race Director Gary Cross is also inaugurating the Douglas Women’s 100 mile race coinciding with the start of the 6 day.
The Arizona 6 day is a low key event with deep roots in the community which supports this unique event and makes it possible – with lots of enthusiastic volunteers providing manual lapcounting.
This year The Douglas Student Council and Wallmart are supporting the event as are Douglas Meat Market, El Chef Taco, Jerry Schuster, Victor Verdugo, Melendez Family.
Also playing a big part in this event are CAS elementary school, Faras Elementary School in Pirtleville, AZ., Douglas Adult Education Center and the Arizona Sonora Ultra Runners.
Bob Oberkehr, John Radich and Yuri Esperson are among the entrants signed up.
