The Canadian Death Race is located in Grande Cache, Alberta and travels “125km over rough, mountain trails, through pristine forests shared with resident wildlife, over ragged, rocky, and sometimes wet or snow-covered, seemingly endless terrain”. The course is over three different mountain summits with over 17,000 feet in elevation, plus a raft crossing in Hell’s Gates canyon at the confluence of the Smoky and Sulphur Rivers.
This years event, August 1st, was won by Sean Meissner in 15:04:04. First lady was Sophie Limoges, 5th overall in 16:37:59.
