Sakuramichi Ultra

Originally known as the Sakura Michi International Nature Run, The Sakuramichi Ultra takes place each year in April in Japan, to coincide with cherry blossom season. The 250km race starts at Nagoya Castle, and traverses the main island of Honshu, to finish in Kanazawa. The coast-to-coast route traces the mountain roads through the Japanese Alps, reaching a high point of about 900 metres midway through the race. Runners have a 36 hours to complete the course.
