Kami Semick
US ultrarunner based in Bend, Oregon. Born: 07/06/66 in Southern California
In 2002 Kami started to explore the trails around Central Oregon. Within a year, Kami extended her long runs from two hours to four, and entered the world of ultrarunning with her first 50 km race. Kami won numerous races races as her career develped and was helped by sponsorship from North Face
2008
In 2008 voted Ultrarunner of the Year by Ultrarunning magazine.
"Semick won five races during 2008, and placed second in the IAU 100km World Championships in Italy. Kami won two of North America’s most competitive events, the Miwok 100km race and The North Face Challenge 50 Mile
2009
In 2009 voted Ultrarunner of the Year by Ultrarunning magazine.
"Semick won all six races she ran in 2009, including two world championship events, the IAU 100km World Championships in Belgium and the IAU 50km World Championships in Gibraltar. She was also the winner of three of North America’s most competitive events, the Miwok 100km race and the American River 50 Mile, both in northern California, and the White River 50 Mile near Mt.
