The German Ultra Marathon Association (DUV) is an advocacy organization for organising and supporting ultramarathon runners and ultramarathons in Germany. It was formed on 29 December 1985 in Rodenbach and with approximately 1,500 members is the world's largest organization for ultra-marathon runners.

The original aim in 1985
The aim of the DUV is to further the recognition of ultrarunning as an independent running discipline. The primary effort is to organize official 100-km Championships and will also consider other distances.
Current Objectives
The DUV regards itself as the advocacy and professional organization of ultra-marathoners and ultra-marathoners and ultra-marathon running organization in Germany. Its statutory objective is to promote beyond the marathon distance running and maintain the German Championships of DUV.
The DUV directed German championships from the following disciplines:
- 100-Miles 1986 - since the DLV championships in the 100 Miles
- 24-hour race in 1989
- 100 km railway running from 1991 to 2001
- 50-kilometer run since 1995
- Cross-country running, and since 2001
