The Ultimate Circuits South Africa 2017 1000 mile race begins tomorrow at 09:00 am, just over 9 hours away. The 1000 mile race which is the second such event to take place this year, features Bill Heldenbrand, Kobi Oren, Fred Davis and Annabel Hepburn and will last 16 days finishing on August 7th.
There will be two 10 day races starting on July 22 and July 28th, two 6 day races starting 23rd and 28th July and two 72 hour races starting July 27th and August 3rd. There are also three 48 hour races, five 24 hour dates, 11 12 hour events and 16 6 hour opportunities! Truly a unique running festival.
Though the fields are very modest, the challenge is not so much against the other runners but against the clock. Erick Wright will be providing the timing with his company Wrightracetiming
