An out and back 30 mile Ultra Marathon, passing through some of the most beautiful countryside Hereford has to offer – ndeed, Ross on Wye is the only town that sits within the AONB and provides the perfect start to the event. Ideal final long run for athletes in training for the MDS and other multi-day events.


Route

  • Follows the River Wye from Ross down to the riverside village of Lydbrook. Heads into the Forest of Dean to the turn around point then back to Ross on Wye.

Aid

  • Water stations available at the 10 mile check points.

Relay

  • There will also be a 3 stage relay for teams, with each athlete running a 10 mile section of the route.


The Wye Ultra is part of the 2009 Vasque Ultra-running Championships.
