Austrian multiday runner extraordinaire, Paula Mairer rewrote the women’s 1300 record with an astounding performance of 17 days,21 hours in 2001, breaking Sandra Barwick’s ten year old record.

In the fall of 2002, Paula Mairer broke two women's world bests - 1000 km and 700 miles, both marks set in 1991 by Sandra Barwick , in the 700 mile race of the Ultra Trio.

In 2007 after a break from multiday running, Surasa returns to the Self-Transcendence 6 Day race in New York 2007.

In 2010 Surasa ran in the Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race in New York.
