The inaugural race took place in September 2008 and the following year began on August the 17th 2009 at St.Malo – a 1000 km non-stop to Sète with a time limit of 12 days (288 hours). The next edition will take place in 2012 whilst the Trans-Gaule, organised by the same Race Director, takes a break as the Trans-Europe race will be running part of the Transe-Gaule route.
