In 1980, San Francisco postal delivery worker Don Choi organized the first modern era six day race, on a track in Woodside, California. Don took part in the The New Astley Belt 6 Day Race in 1982.

Running Career

Don took part in several Sri Chinmoy races in New York including the 1000 mile races in 1985 & 1986. Don set the American record for 6 days at 511 miles in New York in 1984 in Flushing Meadow Park.
