Dr.David Horton directs two ultramarathons, the Mountain Masochist 50 Mile Trail Run, MMTR 50 Miler and Hellgate 100k and has run the three longest trails in the United States

- 3rd fastest ever on Trans-America Run 2906 miles
- Fastest ever on Pacific Crest Trail 2650 mile
- 3rd fastest ever on the Long Trail 272 miles
