The Trail du Petit Ballon d'Alsace takes place over a distance of 47 km near Rouffach, France and is part of the 2013 European Ultramarathon Cup.
Course
The run begins at 200m altitude and reaches a height of 1300m over a distance of 47 km (total 2100m altitude). The track has the shape of an 8 whose center is located at Osenbach which the Circuit des Grands Crus is the first loop. The second loop will lead the "trailers" at the top of Petit Ballon (km 23) before returning to Osenbach (km 34). The climbs take place on roads rather large, raids on beautiful mountain trails ... maybe with snow!
