Ultramarathon Man: Confessions of an All-Night Runner
Dean Karnazes was living the corporate life until one day he woke up. He started running and it became a significant metaphor and vehicle for him to change his life. The book talks about his experiences at that time and later during long distance events like the Badwater Ultramarathon. Much has been said about Deans tactical approach to promoting himself and his ideas but also, and, in my humble opinion, very importantly, he has offered inspiration and ecouragement to many people who have seen him on TV, listened to him on the radio or podcasts and those many thousands who have read this book. Dean has helped make the word ultramarathon more popular not only to the running community but also to the world at large.
