Rodopi Ultra Trail
The Rodopi Ultra Trail Race 100 miler (ROUT), which takes place every October at the great scenery of the National Park of Rodopi Mountains in Northern Greece. This is the first 100 miler in Greece, and the first edition took place last October (2010). The second edition will take place between 21-23 of October 2011.
The race collects 4 points at the UTMB qualifying races procedure, and it has +8.000 meters of positive altitude and cut-off time at 42 hours. The race has the spirit of an adventure due to limited stations - only 6 along the course.

I would like to introduce you to the Rodopi Ultra Trail Race 100 miler (ROUT), which takes place every October at the great scenery of the National Park of Rodopi Mountains in Northern Greece. This is the first 100 miler in Greece, and the first edition took place last October (2010). The second edition will take place between 21-23 of October 2011.

The race has the spirit of an adventure due to limited stations (only 6 along the course) and the complete isolation of the athlete in a wild natural environment.
I ran this race at 2010 and it was absolutely fantastic and very difficult, due to the reasons explained above. I’m planning to participate this year again.
