The Namib Desert Challenge is a 220km multi-day extreme endurance footrace, which tests both physical and mental limits. Competitors originate from all four corners of the globe and will test themselves against the extreme heat, rugged terrain, rocky-mountains, the famous Sesriem Canyon culminating in the summitting of two of the highest dunes in the world: Dune 45 and "Big Daddy".
There are five stages ranging from 28 - 55 kilometers over five days. Each stage consists of several legs whereby competitors must pass through a checkpoint. Checkpoints are stationed roughly every 10 - 15km throughout each stage.
The Namib Desert Challenge is fully supported and competitors do not have to carry their daily rations during each stage.
