The 4Deserts is a series of four races organised by Racing The Planet, a company created by Mary K.Gadams in 2002. The 4Desert races are held annually and since 2008, a guest event in a different location each year. The first guest event took place in Sapa in northwest Vietnam. Races are 7 day 250 km stage events and runners must carry all their own equipment and food and are only provided with drinking water and a place in a tent each night.
