Kelvin Abichal Sherrington (born December 28 1960) is a multiday and ultrarunner who began running ultras as preparation for the inaugural 1996 Sri Chinmoy 10 Day race on Wards Island, New York. Abichal ran that race in 97, 98 and 99. In 1999 he also ran in the Sri Chinmoy 700 mile race and for the next few years ran both the 10 Day in April and the 700 in September. In 2002 he graduated to the 1000 mile race in September completing 827 miles in 15 days. In 2003 he ran the 10 day race for the 8th consecutive year and in May was invited to apply to run the Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race.
Completing 2747 miles in his first attempt,Abichal returned for the next five years culminating with his best performance of 54 days in 2008. In 2009 Abichal ran in the Gothenburg 6 Day Race and in 2010 ran at the Athens Ultrafestival in the 1000 mile World Cup.
